About Me/Bio:

Hi, My name is John Armanini.

I am an Electrical/Electronic Engineer, graduated from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. My expertise lies in Wireless and Wired Communications, Smart Meters, Alternative Energy and Embedded Systems. My software background includes C++, C#, MySQL, LABVIEW and Linux OS.

My hobbies are many: They include Car Restoration (1964 Malibu Conv, 64 Chev Pickup & several others), Music (Playing Bass), Flying (Glider), Sailing, Motorcycles and Karate (Kajukenbo Instructor).

I like pretty much anything that requires hands on interaction. I am Christian and truly do try to follow God's Word. I enjoy working with a diverse range of people, especially on product development teams. The products have ranged from industrial to consumer goods.

Some of the highlights of my career have brought me to sea on board US Submarines, climbing on top and all around large Wind Turbines and traveling the islands in Indonesia. I also enjoyed working throughout the PG&E Hydro-Electric system in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

I have a broad range of management experience ranging from Engineering Manager/System Architect of a Telecom company to managing product development teams. I currently am a Research and Development / Product Engineer working on developing communication strategies for Smart Power Meters for utilities.

I also can work alone just fine. It takes time to adapt to each unique situation, but I welcome every new challenge as I encounter them.
